The Palio Galaxy is one of the first and longest-lasting biocores still active to this day. Due to its age, the Constellation that first created it had little understanding of their own transformative power and how to apply it, and the astronomy they have set up unintentionally allows for undead (see Undeath, page 36). Additionally, because of the faulty construction of matter, mind, and soul, a soulless matter that was imbued with enough energy and had mortals personify it in their minds could develop a soul of its own, leading first to nature spirits of varying types (not to be confused with Nymphs), and later to sentient technology.
The Palio Galaxy originated in the single Planet of Palios, but through the ages its society had managed to harness both arcana and science to spread among its home Galaxy. Besides this important landmark, there are a number of other significant worlds within the Palio galaxy, most curious among them is Technica (page 14).
